I had been thinking about hair restoration therapy for the past 15 years (hard to believe). I had done my research with all the competitors and consulted with a few doctors. I finally chose Dr. Ziering and the robotic folliclular unit extraction method because Dr. Ziering is one of the few doctors who performs the robotic hair restoration therapy. On the first day of the surgery, I checked in the afternoon. The front of my scalp was numbed and the incisions for the hair follicles were made. The process took about 3 hours. On the second day of the surgery, I checked in at about 8 a.m. The back of my scalp was numbed and I was placed in the robotic FUE machine. I then fell asleep for about 3 hours while hair follicles were harvested from the back of my head. I woke up around noon and had my complimentary lunch. Then, Dr. Ziering and his staff began transferring the hair follicles to the front area of my head where the incisions had been made the previous day. I was done by around 5 p.m. I drove myself home and went to work the next day. There is a little pain and discomfort for a few days after the surgery, but the beautiful thing is that I don't have a strip scar in the back of my head. I am now about 2 months post-surgery and am eagerly waiting for my new hair to grow. I highly recommend Dr. Ziering. He is very knowledgeable, funny and makes you feel comfortable during the surgery.
