Gloss was first recommended to me by one of their long time clients, and I haven't looked back since my first cut with Carolyn . I went in with high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. Without giving too much detail, I described to Carolyn what I was looking to do with my hair and she went to work creating the perfect layers. As someone that takes little to no time styling her hair in the morning I needed a cut that would frame my face with little effort, but that could also be styled for special occasions. Carolyn not only always achieves this, but she also knows just how much I need to trim to keep my hair long, but healthy. I look forward to going to Gloss not only because I know that I'm in good hands, but also because Carolyn and Steve (owners and stylists) are always kind, welcoming, and never fussy about selling hair products. Carolyn never makes me feel guilty when I fail to make regular appointments and she always seems to find a way to fit me in. The atmosphere and decor is simple yet chic, and there is never an issue parking on the side of the building. Happiness found! I've been a client at Gloss Beauty Lounge for five + years now, and just love my personal stylist Carolyn. She does a fantastic job on my wild locks and I aways leave feeling like a pampered princess. What I like most is that I never feel pressured to do anything more than I feel comfortable with...you know how pushy some stylists can be. It's also a plus that they use eco-friendly hair products, which is a must for me! As for the ambience, it is modern and fresh, with a lovely quaintness. I definitely look forward to my appointment every month!

Without a doubt, Gloss is the best salon in San Jose. Steve and Carolyn are great - Steve cuts my hair and Carolyn cuts my wife's. Not only do they do a fantastic job at a reasonable price, but they are extremely nice and genuine people. I have never had a problem with them and enjoy every moment I spend in there!
